As of March 30, 2021, the Governor of Miyagi Prefecture and the Mayor of Sendai have certified the Kanto Clinic as a medical institution that implements highly specialized male infertility treatment, and will offer financial support for patients suffering from infertility.
The Kanto Clinic is one of the first in the country to be certified as a urology clinic which is able to provide infertility treatment for patients who are eligible to receive such a grant.
These reforms and policies are scheduled to spread nationwide.
